Boston is the one of the most historic cities in the United States. Known as "The Cradle of Liberty" the Boston Tea Party took place in Boston Harbor and was one of the first acts of defiance aimed at the British in the years leading up to the American Revolution. Today, visitors can stand on the site of the Boston Massacre and then head over to Quincy Market to enjoy the shopping and dining opportunities. Food lovers flock to the North End to dine on Italian cuisine and stand in line at the popular bakeries before or after visiting the Paul Revere House.

The Freedom Trail is one of Boston's premier attractions and visitors can follow the red line for 2.5 miles of historic attractions. The swan boats are a warm weather favorite in the Public Garden and are a delight for children and adults alike. There are many ways to see the historic sites and none is more fun than one of the haunted tours which guide enthusiastic participants through several of the oldest cemeteries in the United States by lantern light. The arts are alive and well in Boston and museums, theatres and clubs are available to delight and entertain visitors.
