All guests must be 18 years old on or before the day they are scheduled to embark on their cruise. Viking Ocean Cruises does not provide facilities or services on board for individuals younger than 18 years old.

Due to the nature of Viking River’s cruise and travel itineraries, minors under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult who is at least 21 years old. The accompanying adult must share a stateroom with the minor.

Virgin Voyages offers adult-only voyages, where guests must be at least 18 years old to embark on the journeys.

Most cruise lines have their own age requirements for travel, but as a general rule, children need to be at least 6 months old to embark on a cruise and 12 months old to sail on itineraries that include more than 2 consecutive days at sea.

Cruise fares are per person which includes infants and children. When children are traveling with 2 full fare guests in the same stateroom they will typically pay a discounted cruise fare.
