Age Requirements - Cunard Line

Minimum Age for Travel

Guests must be at least 6 months old to travel on most Cunard cruises. For Full World Voyages, Transatlantic Crossings, and select longer voyages to exotic destinations, the minimum age is 12 months due to the nature of these itineraries.

  • Children under 16 years of age cannot stay in a stateroom without being accompanied by an adult aged 16 or older.
  • Those aged 18 years or older at the time of travel are classified as adults and may travel alone.
  • There is no maximum age limit for traveling on Cunard ships.

Facility Restrictions
Theater: Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during Productions shows; unescorted children are not permitted.
Casino: Entry is restricted to guests over 18 (21 in U.S. waters).
Swimming Pools: Designated adult-only pools may be present; all children must be toilet trained, as swim diapers are not accepted. Children under 16 must be supervised.
Whirlpools: Not permitted for children aged 7 and under; children aged 8-16 must be supervised.
Gym, Saunas, and Steam Rooms:  The minimum age is 16 with parental supervision; under 18s should not use the weights section.
Nightclub:  Children under 16 are not allowed in adult nightclub venues.
