220v British 3-pin and 110v 2-pin sockets

Staterooms are equipped with both 110v (North American) and 220v (European) outlets. Irons are not permitted onboard; however, self-service laundry facilities and dry cleaning services are available.
The voltage in each suite matches both the U.S. standard (110 volts AC, flat prongs) and the European standard (220 volts AC, round prongs).
Your suite is equipped with 110-volt (American current) and 220-volt (European current) outlets for your convenience. You won't need adapters or converters for small appliances. However, the Silver Explorer only provides 220-volt/60Hz AC power and accepts Europlug or Type C plugs.
Uniworld River Cruises provides 220V/50Hz power with 2-pin "Schuko" outlets in Europe and onboard their ships. All staterooms also have 110V outlets. If you have electrical appliances from home, you may need an adapter and/or converter. Please ask your stateroom steward for assistance.
Viking Cruises offers both 110V and 220V outlets in your stateroom, with European style (2-pin) outlets with ground, except for two US 110V sockets above the desk and one on each side of the bed. There are no UK 3-pin sockets.
All Virgin Voyages cruise ships have at least 6 USBs, 3US, and 1 European plug socket. Higher grade cabins may have extra plug sockets.
