Entertainment - Cunard Line
Join us on board and you might spot some familiar faces, including writers, actors, filmmakers, politicians, explorers, scientists, historians, and even the occasional astronaut. Likely as not, it’s because they’ve been invited to inform and entertain you as part of CUNARD INSIGHTS®, our regular talks on contemporary issues by well-known celebrities and personalities.
There's almost no limit to what you can learn on your holidays. All the speakers add another dimension to your cruise. And that's just the start, with experts on hand to teach you about everything from computers to distant constellations.
Make today the day you learn to tango.
Hot-foot it to a tango lesson - slow, quick, quick, slow - or spend the afternoon socializing in a martini mixology class. Learn how to get the most from an iPad, or, if you finish your photography lesson early, put your new skills into action - our three Queens are nothing if not photogenic. From fencing and watercolor painting to shuffleboard, you're spoilt for ways to brush up on existing talents or to discover ones you never knew you possessed.
If you're more a fan of quiet contemplation, lose yourself in any one of the 6,000 books in the largest libraries at sea. Take a stroll around the promenade deck - perhaps you'll spot a dolphin or two. Or simply people watch from the comfort of a poolside hot tub.
Sporting activities
A range of sports is catered for on board, including fencing, golf (chipping, putting, and target nets), and tennis. If you're in the mood for a little friendly competition there are sports tournaments throughout the day - from quoits to table tennis and from darts to our very own decathlon.
Some enchanted evening
You may anticipate the curtain going up at the Royal Court Theatre for another glittering performance. If you love energetic musical numbers, you’re in the right place too. Equally, a stand-up comedy, a magician, or a late-night film might make your ideal evening.
In the Queens Room, the full orchestra fills the floor and you can put the day's tango lessons to good use. If you yearn to dance but haven't a willing partner, our charming gentleman hosts will be delighted to take your hand and show you the steps.
