Resident rates are offered up periodically by the cruise lines typically on last-minute sailings. For example, Carnival may offer up a slightly lower rate to Florida residents for a Miami sailing departing in a few weeks.
A couple of important things to note here, first you must be able to show ID proving residency otherwise the cruise line will reprice you at the pier and it can be very costly. Second, while a NY residency rate may be $50 per person cheaper it typically doesn't include any promotions so take a look at the promotions on your specific sailing or chat with one of our travel advisers!
