In the event that a guest must cancel their AmaWaterways cruise, the cancellation must be made during standard business hours or via email to [email protected]. The cancellation notice must be in writing and must include the guest's full name, the ship name, the start and end date of the cruise, and a brief explanation of the reason for cancellation. Other forms of notice, such as phone calls or verbal communication, are not considered valid for cancellation.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the cruise's start date are deemed as trip interruptions and are 100% non-refundable. The cancellation is considered effective on the date AmaWaterways receives the written notice.
Any changes to the sailing date, guest name, or a reduction in the number of guests in a stateroom will be treated as cancellations and will incur the applicable cancellation charges.
Please note that AmaWaterways' cancellation fees are based on the cancellation date and apply per person. These fees are considered liquidated damages, as cancellations may cause difficulties in reselling the cruise or cruise and land reservation. The cancellation charges will apply regardless of whether the reservation is resold.
