Often called the cruising capital of Europe, Southampton is certainly among the most convenient, entertaining ports. Aptly named for a city on England's southern shores, Southampton is a haven for parks, boutiques, restaurants, museums, art galleries, and music halls.
Before sailing off into the English Channel for France or other European destinations, be sure to enjoy Southampton's SeaCity Museum, City Art Gallery, and the Tudor House and Garden. If you're in the mood for a beach walk, you can find nice sandy stretches just outside of town.
