Epic Space Adventure Aboard Viking's "Mars" Cruise

Viking Mars is set to launch in May 2022 as the seventh ship in Viking's near identical ocean vessel fleet. Boasting of a Scandi-cool vibe, this adult-only vessel will accommodate 930 passengers and 470 crew members, providing an intimate and cozy atmosphere. The 930-passenger ship will have warm and stylish interiors and pared-down spaces designed for lingering, such as the Living Room lobby, forward-facing two-deck Explorers' Lounge, the iconic Aquavit Terrace, and the welcoming Wintergarden. Books will line the public spaces, while puzzles adorn the Living Room atrium. Classic music will be featured each evening in various areas, while the closest thing to a nightclub is the Blues and Jazz lounge amidships. The multi-purpose theater will host informative lectures and movies played through a cinema-quality sound system; movies will also be offered up on the Pool Deck. Furthermore, pre-and-post-dinner musical acts and roving performances in the Living Room Atrium, Explorers' Lounge, and Torshavn will keep the atmosphere elegant and entertaining. Viking Mars will feature multiple dining options, from the main dining venue to the Pool Grill, Mamsen's, and the two free specialty restaurants, The Chef's Table and Manfredi's. Guests will also be able to enjoy the LivNordic Spa, complete with a thermal suite, heated tile loungers, and a snow room. All 465 cabins on board the ship will have balconies and will be uniformly well-appointed and decorated in tasteful, muted tones across all six categories. Amenities will depend on the cabin grade, ranging from early boarding to complimentary mini-bars with soft drinks or alcohol and soft drinks. Viking Mars' maiden voyage will be a 13-night "Trade Routes of the Middle Ages" itinerary from Barcelona to Bergen. Afterwards, the ship will sail on Northern European, Iceland, British Isles, Baltic, and Western Europe itineraries, before relocating to Asia and Australia for further voyages.
