Viking Rinda is a German-built Longship that brings a sleek, Scandinavian ambience to river cruising in Europe. Step on board and be welcomed by natural light streaming in through the two-story atrium and its backlit marble panels, terrazzo floors, and wood-and-glass staircase. The signature feature of this vessel is its Aquavit Terrace; an open-air cafe on the bow that offers indoor/outdoor seating. In addition, the ship boasts seven true suites with separate living and sleeping areas, as well as full and French balconies. It has hybrid diesel-electric engines that burn less fuel and produce fewer emissions, plus solar panels on the sun deck to power the engines. Lastly, the chef maintains an organic garden during growing season. Cruise along the Rhine Gorge and take in the UNESCO World Heritage site's beautiful castles and towns. The library has comfortable seating and excellent reading light. The ships' libraries carry approximately 80 books, in various languages but mostly English, and several games such as chess, backgammon and playing cards. Pick up a magazine or board game and enjoy it in the lounge just steps away.
