Viking Herja
Unforgettable Viking Herja River Cruise Adventure
Viking Herja, one of Viking's longships, was launched in spring 2017 with a christening in Koblenz, Germany. This 190-passenger vessel sails the Danube River, from Passau to Budapest. Herja offers the same amenities, features and design as Viking's renowned longships, including Explorer Suites with 270-degree views, some of the biggest suites on Europe's waterways. The ship is named after the Valkyrie from the 13th-century Old Norse chronicle, Prose Edda. Joining Viking Hild, launched in March 2017, Viking's river fleet now totals 61 ships. Viking Herja boasts five cabin categories and 95 cabins. These include two 445-square-foot Explorer Suites with private wraparound verandas, seven 275-square-foot Veranda Suites, 205-square-foot Veranda Staterooms, 135-square-foot French Balcony Staterooms and 150-square-foot Standard Staterooms. All beds are hotel-style and feature heated floors in the bathrooms, plus plenty of storage space. The ship also provides a variety of dining options, including The Restaurant, Aquavit Terrace and the Lounge. Additionally, passengers can enjoy a sun deck with 360-degree views, solar panels and a walking track. Every cruise fare includes all onboard meals, beer and wine with lunch and dinner, Wi-Fi, port charges, government taxes and a complimentary shore excursion in every port. Viking Herja has an age minimum of 18 to sail. Book your voyage today and explore Europe's waterways with Viking.
