A Unique and Once-in-a-Lifetime Viking Hemming River Cruise
Viking Hemming and Viking Torgil are the two "baby" Longships that sailed into Portugal's Douro region in 2014. These smaller vessels offer a light-filled atmosphere with plenty of real suites, each with a generous balcony and French balcony. But there's something special about the Hemming: a swimming pool on the top deck! It's the first of its kind on a Viking Longship. Plus, you'll find walk-in closets, Portuguese tiles and colors, and green advances like hybrid diesel-electric engines and solar panels. The only downside? The Aquavit lounge deck isn't quite the same with smaller public areas. But, overall, Viking Hemming is a great way to experience the Douro River!

The middle deck reception lobby area is a great place to get information during your journey. Your Program Director’s desk is located here so that you can easily ask questions or discuss the day’s activities. There are a 24-hour tea and coffee station with a fruit basket and convenient restrooms.
