Viking Gymir
Viking Gymir River Cruise: An Unforgettable Adventure Awaits
Viking Longship Gymir is set to join the fleet in 2022 and brings with it a mysterious name that has confusing origins in Norse mythology. Gymir, also known as Aegir, means 'protector' or 'engulfer' and is a fitting name for a Viking ship. On board, guests aged 55-70 will be treated to inclusive European river cruises with 190 passengers enjoying cultural experiences and relaxation. Excursions vary from day to day, with guests being able to explore the local city on foot or by motorcoach, as well as exclusive access to events and food and drink tastings. All meals are served in the Restaurant on Deck 2, while the Aquavit Terrace on Deck 3 offers a lighter option and a tasting menu in the evenings. Accommodation is available in the form of 95 staterooms, including 2 Explorer Suites, 7 Verandah Suites and 39 Verandah Staterooms. Passengers can enjoy all the comforts of home, with added perks in the suites such as laundry service, early check-in, welcome champagne and binoculars. The sundeck is a great place to relax, with outdoor seating, a walking track and outdoor games. Entertainment is aplenty, with a keyboardist providing background music, local entertainers joining guests on board, game nights and dancing.
