Introducing the luxurious Silver Spirit, Silversea's flagship vessel that made a grand entry into the world of luxury cruises back in 2009. With its 2017 introduction of the Silver Muse as its newest flagship, the vessel gained great admiration from guests and critics alike due to its larger size, modern design, and vast array of amenities. To match the allure of Silver Muse, Silversea invested $70 million into upgrading Silver Spirit in March 2018. This upgrade included cutting the ship in half and inserting a 49-foot-long midsection, making it larger than before with a bigger pool, additional outdoor seating, and an increase of suites from 270 to 304. Silver Spirit also improved its dining options, offering a total of 8 choices, from the new Atlantide, Indochine, Spaccanapoli and Silver Note, to the old favourites. Passengers can also enjoy lounges from Decks 5 to 11, such as the Tor's Observation Library, Arts Cafe and Dolce Vita. The interior of the ship was also renovated in a modern Italian design, with cream and beige colour schemes, velvety and tweed fabrics, and buttery leather furnishings. What makes Silver Spirit truly stand out, though, is its service. From the suite attendants, reception desk personnel and maitre d's, to the housekeeping and engineering staff, all are trained to satisfy passenger needs. And of course, there are the butlers, assigned to suites, who are there to cater to every whim and make you feel like family.
