Set to launch in summer 2023, the 728-passenger Silver Nova will be Silversea's first Nova Class ship. Featuring an all-balcony cabin design, the eco-friendly vessel has hybrid technology that uses shore-side power when docked, making it the first cruise ship to have zero emissions in port. With 364 cabins across 13 stateroom categories, it will also have the largest choice of suites, including a new 270-degree view Otium Suite measuring 1,323 square feet with a 431 square-foot balcony. Silver Nova's horizontal design will have an open pool deck, eight onboard restaurants, and its hybrid technology will reduce the ship's overall greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent. Additionally, it is expected to achieve an Energy Efficiency Design Index rating that will be 25 percent better than requirements set out by the International Maritime Organization. Silver Nova's maiden voyage will be a seven-night cruise from Venice, with stops in Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro.
