MS Otto Sverdrup - An Unforgettable Arctic Cruise with Hurtigruten

MS Otto Sverdrup is named after the great Norwegian polar explorer and Hurtigruten captain, Otto Sverdrup. He was part of the first team to ski across Greenland, as well as a key member of polar expeditions, and captained the legendary Arctic ship, Fram. He was also the first Hurtigruten captain to sail from Norway to Svalbard on MS Lofoten. The onboard language is German. At Hurtigruten Expeditions, sustainability is a priority. We are the first cruise line to permanently introduce biodiesel fuel, and single-use plastics are banned on all ships, including MS Otto Sverdrup, which also has the capability for shore power, eliminating all emissions when docked. The 2020 renovation of the ship incorporates natural Scandinavian materials, such as granite, oak, birch and wool to create a stylish atmosphere. A Wellness area, outdoor pool and hot tubs, and observation decks are also featured.
