Avalon Waterways has announced the addition of the 128-passenger Avalon Artistry II to their river cruise ship fleet in 2013. This Suite Ship features 52 suites measuring at least 200 square feet, with cabins all outside, measuring 172 square feet. Itineraries focus on the Rhine River, with sailings from Zurich to Amsterdam and Amsterdam to Basel, Germany. The cabins come with amenities such as flat-screen satellite TVs, radio, mini-bar, safe and hair dryers. Beds can be configured into two twins or one queen, with Egyptian cotton linens and your choice of firm or soft pillows and duvets. Royal suite occupants also get usage of in-suite complimentary iPads. The Avalon Artistry II has four decks, including a sky deck with an open-air bistro, sunning and whirlpool. There are multiple lounges, an open-seating dining room, an Internet corner, a hairdresser and manicurist, and an expanded fitness center. Smoking is not permitted in interior areas and an onboard elevator is available for guest use.
