AmaWaterways is a family-owned cruise line that offers comfortable, personalised service. Their ships feature lively reds and oranges with tweedy accents, creating an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. Their newest vessels, AmaSiena and AmaLucia, are great for moderately active travelers, with a fleet of bikes available and guided hiking and walking tours included in the cruise fare. The main Lounge and other public areas are intimate and spacious, with a horseshoe-shaped bar, a library, a coffee/tea station and a glass-enclosed table seating area. However, the elevator doesn't reach the upper deck, so access to the pool, track and outdoor seating areas is via stairs. AmaWaterways is ideal for travelers seeking a variety of outdoor excursions, but not for those wanting a lot of onboard programming and entertainment.
